A sparkling mix of perennial favourites and new recordings from the Organ of Wimborne Minster (three-manual electro-pneumatic!) When thinking of repertoire for this recording, organist Martin Schellenberg and producer Siva Oke chose works which, in some way, encapsulate the feeling of the beautiful Minster and the many hundreds of years’ history within its walls. They have also endeavoured to give you an all-round tour of the instrument in a collection of old organ favourites as well as little known works, which highlight the instrument’s full range of stops, its wonderful tonal resources and its versatility. Fanfares to Fancies is the result of these thoughts.
