The Stories of Vivaldi & Corelli in Words and Music

The life and work of Vivaldi and Corelli presented with music and narration

The Stories of Antonio Vivaldi and Arcangelo Corelli in Words and Music! This album, narrated by Arthur Hannes, presents the composers’ lives accompanied by their compositions. This album features complete recordings of “Autumn” and “Winter” from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, performed by the Wurttemberg Chamber Orchestra with Susanne Lautenbacher on solo violin, and Corelli’s complete Concerto Grosso in F (Opus 6, No. 9) from Gli Accademici di Milano conducted by Dean Eckertsen.

For decades, Music Masters has been a treasured resource for teachers and parents, and these albums are especially well-regarded with homeschool families.  With excellent writing and narration, each track is backed supplemented with excerpts of the pieces mentioned by the narrator. At the end of the narration, each album contains one or more complete pieces uninterrupted for full listening pleasure.  The narrations are clear and informative, which makes them most accessible for younger learners, and the complete works presented at the end of each album are an extended treat for the listener. These CDs have been very popular for years, and we are now pleased to release them in digital download format as well!

The Music Masters series is an 18-album set which tells the story of the greatest composers in words and music, including: Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Mendelssohn, Schubert, Schumann & Grieg, Handel, Beethoven, Haydn, Wagner, Vivaldi and Corelli, Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Johann Strauss, Foster & Sousa, Berlioz, and Verdi.
