**A note on the numeration of Mozart’s symphonies: Over the 200+ years since Mozart’s death there have been several inconsistencies in the scholarship of his symphonies. The so-called Symphonies Nos. 2 and 3 are now considered to be written by Leopold Mozart and Carl Friedrich Abel, respectively, and Symphony No. 37 was actually written by Michael Haydn. Additionally, unnumbered and “lost” symphonies were later added to the canon as the scholarship on this matter improved.
