Sonatas for Flute: Poulenc – Prokofiev – Martinu – Burton – Fauré (MC 107)
This album has received great praise from no less an authority on Classical music than the esteemed Gramophone magazine. Here Stinton is accompanied by pianist Scott Mitchell as they perform flute sonatas composed by Francis Poulenc, Sergei Prokofiev, Bohuslav Martinu, Eldin Burton, and Gabriel Fauré.

Vivaldi: Six Concertos for Flute, Op. 10; Concerto in A Minor (ALC 1059)
Antonio Vivaldi was as prolific a composer as he was magnificent. The astounding 800+ works penned by Il Prete Rosso (The Red Priest) span the sacred and the secular. renown for his virtuoso ability on the violin, his many concerti for all others instruments are excellent representatives of this genius of the Baroque.

Rodrigo: Concertos for Flute & Guitar (ALC 1090)
This album contains the three most beloved works by one of the most important figures in Spanish music and a titan of the twentieth century, Joaquín Rodrigo. Rodrigo’s life and career span the twentieth century (1901-1999) and his guitar concerto Concierto de Aranjuez is one of the absolute masterpieces of the century. World-renown Spanish guitarist Carlos Bonell here performs this monumental work and joins Jennifer Stinton on the remarkable Fantasia para un gentilhombre, backed by the English Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Steuart Bedford. Rodrigo’s Flute Concerto “Pastorale” rounds out this absolutely pleasing album.

The Penguin Guide raves of Stinton’s performance on this album that “The British flute virtuoso plays some of the instrument’s most brilliant works.” She deftly demonstrates her range and ample abilities on works by Carl Nielsen, Arthur Honegger, Jacques Ibert, and Francis Poulenc.

J.S. Bach: Complete Flute Sonatas & Partita (ALC 2022)
Newly recorded and recently released, this reference-quality set will become a standard. Stinton is here joined by her frequent collaborators David Wright (harpsichord) and Guy Johnston (cello).

A Contemporary Collection: Works for Flute and Harp (DL 9010 – download-only)
Demonstrating that her repertoire is constantly growing and knows no boundaries, this download-only album features five contemporary works penned as recently as 2002 by composers Jean-Michel Damase, Vincent Persichetti, William Alwyn, and André Jolivet. Stinton is accompanied by noted harpist Aline Brewer.

Jennifer Stinton plays C.P.E. Bach Flute Concertos (DL 9027 – download-only)
Carl Phillip Emanuel Bach was a major figure of the transitional period between the Baroque and Romantic periods, and a dynamic counterpoint to the mannered Rococo style. His legacy was was strong until falling out of favor in the nineteenth century, but has been redeemed over the past half-century as an important figure in eighteenth century composition.
